Domestic color coated steel prices have remained stable with a slight downward trend. According to 100ppi, Baosteel's 0.5mm hot-dip galvanized color coated steel (TDC51D+Z) has been quoted at 6,800 yuan/ton, down 1.45% compared to early March (6,900 yuan/ton). Meanwhile, markets in Lecong and Guangzhou reported stable prices but weak transactions, indicating sluggish demand.
Market analysts attribute the trend to weak downstream demand from construction and home appliance sectors, coupled with rising production capacity. Inventory levels have slightly increased, suggesting continued price pressure in the short term.
