According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China on June 7, China's finished steel exports reached 36.369 million tons from January to May this year, a year-on-year increase of 40.9%.

During the period, China imported 3.129 million tonnes of finished steel, down 37.1% year-on-year.

In May alone, China's finished steel exports and finished steel imports were 8.356 million tons and 631,000 tons, up 5.37%, 7.68% month-on-month, 8.79% month-on-month, and down 22.1% year-on-year, respectively.
